Can it be almost over???

I can't believe the season is almost over. It seemed like yesterday that we were dropping off our players at indoor practice facilities because there was a foot of snow on the ground. We had such promise for our teams and many of those promises have come true. But for many of us- it can be hard to watch!!! Yes, the boys have gotten better and yes, they are passing the ball. But sometimes as a parent and spectator you just want the kid who can run, dodge and shoot to take the ball down and score!!! 

And after that feeling passes, I am proud of the players who are thinking about passing and pass the ball. One day, when it all comes together the goals will be going in- but for now we watch a lot of passes end up in the opponents stick or out of bounds.

What is getting better is the defense. The boys really get the hang of it by this part in the season. They are playing together and are as quick to blame it on the goalie!!!

Another great thing about the end of the season - is that we get to see personalities coming out and nicknames being awarded. It is really funny to watch!
